I design and build products that make complex decisions easier to understand and trust.
I’m Aqeel, a Senior Product Designer and UX Engineer who works from research and product definition through to frontend implementation.
Design decisions that survive delivery.
I started my career in frontend development and gradually moved deeper into UX research, interaction design and product strategy. That path means I can investigate a problem, shape the product response and stay involved as the experience moves into code.
Over more than 10 years, I’ve worked in an experience-design team at Amazon, on enterprise tools and design systems at Philips, on design-system work at The Adecco Group, and on environmental decision-support software at Sproutfull.
I’m most effective where users need to understand complex information, follow demanding workflows and make decisions with confidence. I’m also exploring how generative AI can support judgement without hiding uncertainty or taking control away from people.

I work close enough to production to understand what an interface demands from the system behind it. I prototype and implement in React, TypeScript and Vue, collaborate with engineers on data and API constraints, and use design systems and accessibility testing to keep design and delivery aligned.

Outside work, I spend a lot of time with my dog, looking after my plants and cycling whenever I can. I enjoy understanding how things work, but I’m just as interested in the small ways people adapt when something does not work for them.
