Hi, I’m Aqeel.
I’m a designer and UX engineer who loves making the complex feel simple. For over a decade I’ve been working across UX, service design, and front-end development, helping teams build tools and systems that people can trust and enjoy using.
I’ve had the chance to work in some very different spaces, from e-commerce at Amazon, to MedTech and enterprise software at Philips, to SaaS platforms at Adecco and Floggy. The projects have been just as varied: redesigning digital asset repositories, building compliance dashboards, and scaling React-based design systems. Whatever the challenge, my aim is always the same: bring clarity, inclusivity, and a sense of ease to the experience.
What I Do Best
User Research
I dig into both qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover the real stories behind the data, insights that shape better, more human-centred decisions.
Experience Design
I use approaches like the double diamond to explore, test, and refine. From early sketches and flows to interactive prototypes, I keep the user’s needs at the centre of everything.
Prototype, Test & Iterate
For me, design doesn’t stop at the screen. I code in React, Vue, and JavaScript to bring ideas to life quickly, test them with real users, and iterate until the experience feels effortless.
Tools I Work With
React · TypeScript · Vue · Next.js · Storybook · Figma Tokens · Tailwind · SCSS · Vitest/Jest · axe-core · BrowserStack · Node.js
Frontend & Technical Approach
Build scalable interfaces using React, TypeScript, Vue, and Next.js
Define component architecture and design system patterns
Work closely with backend teams on data modeling and APIs
Ensure accessibility, performance, and maintainability in production systems
How I Work
Simplify Complexity: Turn dense workflows into clear, usable tools.
Bridge Design & Code: Work end-to-end, from research to implementation.
Collaborate openly: Align engineers, compliance, and product teams.
Build for Scale: Create systems and processes, not just screens.
A Little More About Me
Outside of work, you’ll often find me on a bike. I ride with a local cycling group and love exploring how data helps, and sometimes overwhelms, when tracking performance. That balance, giving people just the right information at the right moment, is something I carry into my design work..
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love for you to explore my Case Studies or get in touch. Always happy to chat.
